Reporting infringing material

Send a written notice that includes all of the following. A notice missing any of it cannot be acted on:

1. Your physical or electronic signature, as the copyright owner or someone authorised to act for them.
2. Identification of the work you say has been infringed.
3. Identification of the material on Brainywolf.com you say is infringing, with enough detail — a URL — for us to find it.
4. Your contact details: address, telephone number and email address.
5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act for the copyright owner.

Requests can be sent through the contact details published on Brainywolf.com.

What happens next

Material that is the subject of a valid notice is removed or disabled, usually within a few business days. Where we can identify who posted it, they are told that it has been removed and why.

Counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice containing your signature, identification of the material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake, your contact details, and your consent to the jurisdiction of an appropriate court.

Repeat infringers

Access for anyone who repeatedly infringes copyright is terminated.

Misuse

Knowingly making a material misrepresentation — that something is infringing when it is not, or that it was removed by mistake when it was not — carries liability for damages under Section 512(f) of the DMCA. Please be sure before you send either kind of notice.
